A Fleeting Glimpse

A worshiper at beauty's shrine. He adored her from afar. And waited. Waited for the off chance of a sideways glance. The accidental eye contact. 'Oh, God. If she could just look, if only for an instant, in my direction.' In preparation of that unlikely event, he paid careful attention to his own grooming. He clipped those nose hairs daily.

Pawlenty of Nuthin'

This is a caricature I drew the day Tim Pawlenty was elected Governor of Minnesota. Never did anything with it. Ran across it a week or two back, and thought it might be handy if McCain picked Pawlenty as his veep choice. Well, turns out Pawlenty only made it as far as number two for the number two slot. Figured I'd post it anyway.

Squid Row

Okay, it's not a squid, it's more of an octopus. And it's an exceptional octopus doodle. Well, exceptional for me. I've been scribbling these guys for years, and truth be told, I have been pretty cavalier about the actual number of tentacles I get around to draw. Sometimes six, sometimes five, only occasionally seven. Hardly ever eight 'cause, like, eight is a lot. And it's just a doodle, man! I mean, who's got the time to make sure you left room for the full eight? Well, this time I did. Just. Some of those tentacles look kinda skinny, I guess. But I fit 'em all in.
