Pineapples, I am told, are the symbol of hospitality which seems sorta appropraiate for the current holiday weekend. Not sure what Hawaiian shirts are the symbol of, unless maybe, bad taste.

Thankful

Mostly I'm thankful I don't have to do conture drawings for a living. This sketch came out okay I guess, but the poor thing looks like she doesn't have much on her mind.

For no particular reason, kickin' off Thanksgiving weekend with a doodle of some guy's foot. For Christmas? Who knows? Maybe wingtips!

Hey, cut me some slack! It's Monday morning, and we're workin' on auto-pilot here. And in this case, the auto-pilot looks to be about thirty feet high with a teeny weeny one eyed head.

Direct from the Black Lagoon and the broad end of my double tipped calligraphy marker, comes this drippy amphibious-creature-monster. I liked this one when I scribbled it a while back, but now he's starting to look a little 'melty' to me, like the topping on some sort of ice cream sundae left out a couple of minutes in the sun.

Casual Dress Friday

Or is that casual undress? Not sure why this little guy has his fist clenched, but I choose to believe he's holding his cuff links so they don't get lost rather than shaking up a pair of dice. In any event, his facial expression suggests either enterprise is probably a loosing proposition.

maybe some kind of overage mouseketeer gone over to the dark side? I dunno. That natty checkered bowtie classes things up a bit.

A Monday Kind Of Thing

Doodled up this guy without thinking too much about how many people there are out there who actually remember what things like a rolodex looked like. 'Course that's assuming my little drawing looks like what a rolodex looked like.

Should write a witty caption for this cartoon, but then, that might require some sort of mental exertion, a slight flexing of the little gray cells, and, as you can see, I'm pretty much overbooked in that department.

Up Close and Personal

Looks like the doodle-ER (that's me) is invading the personal space of the doodle-EE (that's her). Actually this is a two step work of art. Step one is the part where I scribbled around with a fuchsia marker to see if it had run dry. Step two happens weeks later when I see this pink blot in my scratchpad and draw part of a face around it.

I've Got My Eye on You

I was going to comment on this woman's 'do, but considering the nose and mismatched eyes, I guess that's the least of her problems.

Well, I guess Mr. Blimpie here isn't technically ON his feet. We'll just assume he has a buoyant personality.

Woman, Mid-Explanation

Okay, I'm not sure what she's trying to talk her way through. Maybe that decorative contrail in the upper right hand corner. I wasn't thinking of anything in particular when I doodled this, but the longer I look at her the more she starts to look like Ann Coulter, which is creeping me out just a ittle. Let's change the subject.

That's "Android"... with an Eye

Goin' out on a limb here. I'm saying space aliens may be THE greatest thing to doodle. You can make them look like anything you want (six tentacles, seven tentacles... who cares?), you can scribble them as loose as you want (three quick swipes with a Sharpie and bingo... instant martian!), and you can stop drawing any time you want (didn't get around to the nose yet? No big deal!) And in case you want to get real precise, all you do is grab a straight edge, an oval template (or some loose change for tracing circles) and you've got an intergalactic robot in the blink of an eye. An enormous, all seeing, automated eye. How cool is that?

The Day After

M and M stomach aches. Grease paint on the pillow cases. The stench of pumpkin pulp on the front porch. And yet, no regrets... not really. Could have gone a little easier on the apple cider with the little cardboard-cinnamon sticks.
