The Hole Truth

I drew this today, not giving much thought. Specifically... are we looking at three different dudes stuck in the ground, or one very agile guy? After the fact, I choose to believe the latter, maybe some sort of wereworm, half human, half night crawler. Perhaps during the full moon he transforms into an unholy monster, hiding below the earth's surface, buried deep in the soft earth. Until there's a strong rainfall.
